Gunfire
The Emergency Operating Center Director/Incident Commander or police officers will issue directions, when possible. Otherwise, you will need to rely on your own resources.
- REMAIN CALM.
- CALL 911.
- HIT THE DECK. (Lie flat on ground or floor.)
- AVOID EYE CONTACT with persons holding guns.
If intruders are not in the building and gunfire is heard from a distance,
- RESERVE EVACUATION
- Go inside the building.
- Assemble in designated area.
- LOCKDOWN
- Keep students/personnel inside building.
- Secure building from intruders.
