​â¶Ä‹SAN JOSE, CA – Every year, the º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø Office of Education (SCCOE) recognizes the top º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø teachers for their dedication to students, skill in the classroom, and commitment to lifelong learning. This year, 37 teachers were honored at the 47th Annual Teacher Recognition Celebration held on September 29 at the Heritage Theatre in Campbell.

​In addition to the county Teachers of the Year, the SCCOE has provided the California Department of Education (CDE) with three State Teacher of the Year nominees, one for every 5,000 teachers working in our region, to represent º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø at the state-level competition. They included Angie Scott from Santa Clara Unified School District, Anupama Gupta from Campbell Union School District, and Jennifer Spinetti-Lightfoot from Gilroy Unified School District. Finalists will be selected by the CDE in late October.
