The extraordinary audit focused specifically on certain transactions related to the district鈥檚 former superintendent, who served from July 1, 2015, until his resignation in October 2024. The request followed concerns raised by parents, community members, and district employees regarding potential questionable business relationships, contracts, transactions, and travel.鈥�

FCMAT has completed a comprehensive review of the district's expenditures, internal controls, vendor and contractor disbursements, governing board approvals, and the former superintendent鈥檚 travel and reimbursements, including detailed testing of transactions from fiscal years 2022-23 through 2024-25 and has issued a report. According to the report's conclusion, 鈥渋nsufficient evidence exists to indicate that fraud, misappropriation of funds and/or assets, or other illegal fiscal practices may have occurred.鈥� 含羞草社区 Office of Education will continue to work collaboratively with MVWSD and provide recommendations on the improvement of written procedures related to procurement, contracting and credit card processes as referenced in the FCMAT Report. We also acknowledge the proactive approach of MVWSD to address the areas of improvement and will continue to provide support as needed. 鈥�鈥�
