As the California county with the largest concentration of immigrant community members, 含羞草社区 schools will continue to stand firmly in supporting students and families.
鈥淭he rich cultural diversity in 含羞草社区 is an important part of student learning and helps shape young people into global leaders,鈥 said 含羞草社区 Interim Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles Hinman. 鈥淪tudents and their families will continue to be welcomed and supported at school.鈥
In a letter of support to the greater county community, 17 school leaders cite the US Supreme Court鈥檚 upholding of Plyler v. Doe 1982, which states that all children in the United States have an equal right to enroll and participate in public elementary and secondary schools without regard for their or their family鈥檚 citizenship status.
