SAN JOSE, CA – Registration fees for the upcoming Public Choice Schools Symposium will be waived for all members of the educational community, according to the º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø Office of Education (SCCOE) Charter Schools Department.
The fee waiver is thanks to the generosity of the event sponsors, and "All attendees who have paid for the event will be refunded," says Khristel Johnson, director of charter schools for the SCCOE. "While we have waived the fees, we are still asking all attendees to register for the event, as it includes school site visits."
The Public Choice Schools Symposium is designed for education professionals including school administrators, superintendents, principals, board members, and teachers. Attendees will engage in critical discussions surrounding education issues through panel presentations, seminars, site visits, and workshops focusing on innovative approaches to education, latest trends in best practices, critical business, and financial issues.

WHEN: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, November 8 and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, November 9
WHERE: Various locations throughout º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø. Admission is free but must be registered for the event to visit a school. Follow all check-in procedures for visitors at the school. Please be prompt.

The º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø Office of Education (SCCOE) is a regional service agency that provides instructional and business services to the 31 school districts of º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø. The SCCOE serves students through special education programs, alternative schools, Head Start and State Preschool programs, migrant education, and Opportunity Youth Academy. The Office also provides curriculum support, staff development, and technology support and training directly to teachers and staff in schools countywide.
