Although the Human Resources Division provides vital HR services internally for SCCOE departments, programs and operating units, many activities directly benefit the county's 31 school districts. These include:
- Registration and processing of all credential applications for certificated employees. Assisting HR staff, in districts, to assure the appropriate assignment of certificated staff in county school districts as permitted by their credential(s).
- Transmitting and submitting fingerprint images of all administrative, teacher, and classified employment applicants.
- Providing guidance, training and technical assistance to county school district staff in complying with legal mandates relating to classified employment, fingerprinting and background clearances as well as teacher credentialing and employee health and safety.
- Conducting salary surveys and special studies for school districts and interpreting and reporting results to assist with public school human resources management.
- Coordinating and hosting the County's Annual Teacher Recruitment fair for all school districts.
