Jorge Pacheco Jr. was elected to the º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø Board of Education in 2024. Prior to joining the SCCBOE, Jorge served as a trustee on the Oak Grove School District Board of Education since 2018 - the same district where he was born, raised, and educated.
He currently serves as president and CEO of the California Latino School Boards Association, a statewide organization that educates school board members from hundreds of school districts on how to accelerate Latino student growth through professional development. Jorge has a Bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley (Anthropology and Legal Studies) and a Master’s degree in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University.​
